Mugaluru Lake Rejuvenation
A 42 acre lake is mostly dry and holds water partly only during rainy seasons.
The primary objectives for the restoration of the Lake were:
(a) To the maximum capacity of catchment water
(b) To restore habitat and eco-system and to bring lake back closer to anthropogenically undisturbed conditions
(c) In process of restoration, attend to repairs and maintenance
Zafar & Associates studied the rainfall data, hydrological and water harvesting aspects . Carried out preliminary engineering, worked out quantities, and costing and laid down specifications
